***CLUB 400...a.k.a the Valiant Four hundred (new in town)***

So, guess what? My exam went great. I felt a feeling of accomplishment when I was done. I felt like staying up for the WHOLE night was worth it...he he he. Got back yesterday and slept like a log of wood. Logs don't budge, even when insects are biting and scratching their barks...they just don't budge. No element of alarm clocks or phones ringing off the hook (even with my Caribean dance ring tone) could wake me up...

I'm alert now...fully on my toes...up and doing! Ready to join CLUB 400. So have you even heard of club 400? You probably haven't heard of this club. Lolll...if you haven't, well let me use this opportunity to introduce you to club 400. Club 400 is made up of various men and women all over the world...people from different races and ethnic groups. People who see their goal at the opposite side of the ocean, and are determined to cross over...by crook or by hook...I nick-named this CLUB...and this is the tenet of the club:

"So David went, he and six hundred men who were with him, and came to the Brook Besor, where those stayed who were left behind. BUT David pursued, he and FOUR HUNDRED MEN, for two hundred stayed behind, who were so weary that they could not cross Brook Besor..." 1 Samuel 30:9

So you can see why I call this new thing in town "club 400?" 400 is the number. Its the number of relentless, courageous, determined, bold, brave, convicted, dauntless, fearless, indomitable, intrepid, persistent, purposeful, self-confident, steadfast, audacious, unafraid, and valiant people. It's the number of people that won't get LEFT BEHIND.

The remaining 200 folk knew that being strong mattered. But they decided to give up the fight. They told David not to worry, they'd stay back and watch the kids at home. They didn't want to die on the battle field. They wanted the 400 to go ahead and leave them behind. After all, they fought the last war and needed to relax and chill this time. They were scared of the things ahead. But most of all, they allowed weakness to overcome them. They allowed defeat to bring them down on their weak knees.

The 400 were really not the strongest people. They weren't champions, and neither were they superheroes. But they trusted in something that was higher than their human power...and decided to cross the river. They decided to go to war.

"Many are called, but only few are chosen," no one will fight your spiritual war for you. You can't rely on the prayer warriors and the pastors. There's someone that wants to defeat your purpose even before you finally make the decision to go to the altar. Don't chill or relax, you're invited to join CLUB 400...and the time is NOW!

Amen to that, dont stop preaching it, your posts are truly inspiring.

So what are the prerequisite in joining the CLUB 400? Will it be okay if I say that will require a strong faith? Bold determination and believe in laying claim for that God has planned for you? Sheer determination to reach for that which God has planned for you?
Never be among those that say "if you cant beat them join them"

But I would love to leave on a note. "Its not of him who wills nor of him who runs but of God who shows mercy" Romans 9:16.

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all, Amen" : 2 Corinthians 13 vs 14

Its so funny u talked abt 'the grace,' cos that was part of the reading of my 'daily sword' devotional this morning...

Naijadude...welcome to CLUB 400 (it doesn't have too many prerequisites you know)...it mostly requires DETERMINATION to RUN THE RACE...determination to do all that God wants us to do to WIN, and the realization that even if we're tired, we shd still aim to cross the river cos it's not gonna be by our strength! Ditto!

@ nilla...welcome on board sweetie...

@ mack...I was sure I was part of club 400 in January 2006 (if u want me to be specific)...lol. I was sure I wanted to run the race then...it started when I answered the question, "was I sure my name was written in the book of life?" And I wasn't sure then, so I got up and went to the altar...after that I became very sure I was part of the club...I'm convinced. Even if I fall (cos I still have flesh) and do anything sinful, I'll get right back up again and ask for forgiveness and keep moving...keep trucking with the club's tenets...

@ vera...if u believe you are, then you are...trust me, theres no too HIGH requirements.

@ confessions...its true, its not easy...but like u already said, its gonna take more than ur own strength. Which makes club 400 one of the most fun clubs around...

@ Chioma...u know there is something that was written about you? It says, "blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be FILLED." Which basically means that whatever you're thirsting for will come to you. [Jennifererere@hotmail.com]. I'll mail it to u (the february and march issues just got out today...yippee).
