My NEW Cardio training...12 more pounds!


I've just been told I need to get 12 pounds more on my body before I can fall into the healthy range. Goshhhhhh.....whatttt???? Thats according to my BMI index. I tell you, it's this school and the study habits. They have to DIE. And I hereby declare that they are going to die this year. I have to get back into regular eating patterns, and I have to start exercising from this week.

I've done my research now...the trainer has told me AEROBIC EXCERCISE is the best for ladies...yeah, and it's fun too. The best thing about it is that I can alternate whatever I wanna do...I can go bicycling, walking, jogging, swimming, or pretty much any thing else (because I get bored really easily, so it's nice to know I can change plans once in a while). As far as I keep my heart rate elevated during the 30 minutes I'll be working out (every other day of the week).

Then I've got to learn how to get my grains in my tummy for breakfast (recommended for me are cereal bars and lots of oatmeal). Then in the afternoon, in addition to whatever lunch I eat, I've been told to always add FRUIT to the menu. Geez...I'm in for some fun...I think I'm gonna love it.

If u guys have any ideas & TIPS, pls hit me up...cos I need to care about my body this year...it's the temple of God. (*winks*).

yeah, dancing was one of the aerobic exercises listed as part of the options...I already included it (Ben stop revealing secrets naw...lol).

(I've never heard of people trying to gain weight before...well, until I was born and came into the picture...) Its what I gotta deal with. At least I've not completely lost my figure 8...lol.

Someone suggested I drink MILK...ermmm...I'm already addicted to cereal (plus milk). So I'm wondering if they meant I shd drink more milk. BTW what has MILK got to do with anything?

to put on weight, you have to do all those things you listed?

Aren't those the same things your supposed to do to loose????


Secondly to add weight, eat unhealthily (fries, buggers, pizza, etc)....LOL

@nilla LOLL...can u imagine? Its the same thing you have to do o, thats what I'm told. I can't eat be burgering and macdonalding cos that increases ur body cholesterol to dangerous levels regardless of whether u're fat or thin.

The only difference is that I'm allowed as much carbs and proteins as I want (as far as they're healthy) but I just have to eat more fruits, eat more REGULARLY (which I don't do right now because of school), and then to get my muscles toned...I gotta WORK OUT!!! Loll...

Girl what in the world have you been doing? Where did you put Apu & stone hard eba (they are all carbs, abi)? Pounded yam nko?
You dont even need aero-whatever to 'enlarge ur coast'. Just take solid Apu with Isala in the morning with fresh fish or beef, you don't have to eat in the afternoon so that helps academics.
In the evening take original eba with okra & vegetable consolidated with snail, catfish, prawn, lobster or something nice. Just two weeks will flabberwhelm the docs. Wetin ? Na him u want dey jog round the town & bike about.
Don't indulge in them for too long o 'cos you might become Obrokoto Nigerian football

yekpa!! you need to gain.. and me and the rest of the world needs to lose!lol... i eat cheescake, fried eggs, lots of cream cheese, chips, pizza, lots of take out, fast food.. lol.. but i'm sure that's gonna do more harm than good right.. but if you want a recipe for disaster.. i can definitely recommend that one... hehe... i'm trying to think about how i'm gonna get my 6-pack... its my portion to wear bellytops this summer!

@ anthony.....HA HA HA...okkkk, I'll see if I can do some of those naija runs. The truth is I always dream abt naija food, but then when it comes to cooking the ogbono soup, okra soup etc...I just don't have the time...at 8am in the morning I'm in class every single day...and prob until 3pm in the afternoon, and then I have to study...because b4 I blink my eye I have one lecture or lab exam or the other. My brother...I don tire o...but seriously, let me see how I can manage my schedule...(I took that advice seriously)...but I still wanna do AEROBICS...he he...

@ Overwhelmed...lollll...lots of cream cheese and pizza...I do the pizza thing as well...but that increases ur cholesterol as well as CHOPS MY MONEY...the best thing would be to cook naija food like Anthony suggested...very cost effective.

@ Naija vixen...na so I see am o...people are tryna lose weight, me I'm trying to gain...HOW IRONIC!!!! I hope my dreams come true this year...

Ooops...I forgot to mention my case is also genetically-related. I've tried eating lots of junk in the past...but to no avail. I guess I shd try just staying healthy and toning my muscles for now...LOLLLLLL....

you should know who this is. you better get through with it this time. Im tired of the fact that i have friends that are trying to gain weight when im trying to lose some. Make it happen sha, maybe you'll motivate me in some way. Hint: see you in the anatomy lab.. he he :)
