This poem was written by my friend "A" today, as she reflected on Darfur, which was her original inspiration for the poem. But as I read it, I fell in love with the poem, because it began to divulge into different aspects of life...about how no one cares any more about what they belive in, or more like no one cares any more to take a STAND on several issues going on around the world.
INDIFFERENCE IS NOT AN OPTION:
(The Line has been drawn: Choose)
I finally woke up from a dream to an illusion
From a terrible world to the innocence of man’s heart
I finally realized that that delusion
Encompassed the world of reality from the start
Where the Lines have been so blurred
Man cannot even tell what is right, what is wrong
Where fashionable religions are now preferred
To the proven truth, that is now my soul’s song
The insouciance of mankind
Is really the fetus that nurtures tragedies
When our “reality” becomes so blind
That democracy and fairness is all it now sees
What about the famine, the damnation: this breeding grief
Can’t we all see our brothers & sisters dying from man’s politics?
Let’s not now talk about souls dying just for false relief
From this “oh so perfect world” our minds now depict
Indecisiveness cannot become our mantra
Less we become spewed waste from the mouth of God
We should be either Pro or Contra
Eliminating liberalism in a world so absurd

Indifference is not an option. Where do you stand?
Revelation 3: 14-16
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."
Isn't it daunting that even God would prefer you to make a choice of white or black, instead of GRAY?

lovely post, as usual. have a great sunday.
@ Nilla...*winks*
@chainreader...first time i saw it, my own reaction pass fear sef...how can God spew/vomit anyone out of his mouth, it must take a while for Him to make that decision, it means there are some who have already made up their mind to go in the opposite direction by all means...
