"And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some."" John 21:6a
It wasn't until my sweet charming little blue 'daily sword' devotional made me observe that line more closely, that I finally realized I had been reading it wrong all along. I promise you I thought Jesus had always said "cast ur net on the right-hand side of the boat." Saying the "right side" leaves the door open for many possibilities. Wow, you can never get ENOUGH with the word. It just keeps getting better and better. Did you catch it yet? Jesus didn't say, "right-hand side," but He said "right side" instead. I now know why...guess what? The right-hand side of the boat is always very obvious (depending on where u're standing inside the boat of course, but at least you can always tell your right-hand side from your left abi?), but the RIGHT SIDE of the boat is definitely not always obvious. The right side of the boat is not necessarily the side everyone thinks is right. The right-hand side of the boat is not necessarily the 'right' choice either. It sounds like PUN (playing with words), but it isn't! Think about it. It's the reason why you see people who seem like they have it all, but in the twinkle of an eye you're wondering why they're sitting in their own pool of blood asking themselves the very dreaded question, "what if I had done things another way?" It's like the old concept of making a wise decision that seems right in your own eyes, so you just jump right to a he
ad start with your decision rather than seeking "wise counsel" first...

When I read that I kept thinking that there are several ways to get to the top, but only the person who uses the "right" method to get to the top would have peace at the end of the day. There are so many people who are successful today that don't have peace because they got to the top by casting their nets into the wrong side of the boat. What is the right side? The right side is different for you and I. The right side could be 'A' for me, and it could be 'B' for you...but you'll never know until you listen to the voice of Jesus telling you in the same tone that he told his disciples that fateful night by the sea shore..."cast your net on the right side"...
You will know the right side by having a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with your Father, because He reveals SECRETS to His sons...

Quote of the day:"When I read that I kept thinking that there are several ways to get to the top, but only the person who uses the "right" method to get to the top would have peace at the end of the day."

The one thing I love about the word of God, is that it is new everyday. New and different revelations each time. The word of God is NEW everyday day. Thoroughly loved your post, dear Lord which is the right side - and I pray You will reveal it to me in Jesus Name - Amen.
