Every day the struggle never seems to end. Every day we move like chess board pieces from one thing to the other. Every day we receive a blessing, and the next day a curse. Then we rebuke the curse and it goes away. With every brand new day a new task arises. At the end of every day an old task is accomplished. Every day we wake up, we smile and peak at the radiant sun. As we go to bed at night, the smiles which become frowns at mid-day have the opportunity to be found once again as they become drenched in the sweet satisfaction of rest.
But when will it ever end?
Just like Job, I'm wondering today. The reason why I am here on earth is not to work hard and satisfy my soul. Solomon recorded this as "vanity." In order words, all the days of man spent toiling and suffering for self-satisfaction is all VANITY. All the days spent going in the opposite direction from the direction God wants you to move is all VANITY. In order words, what's not vanity involves me seeking my Creator and asking Him why He created me. Do you know why He made you? There's no use telling God what you think you shd be doing. We shd do the reverse...ask Him to guide us to our purpose. No need to prove you're smart and wise, and that you don't need His damn help at all.
Just like He asked a man in the bible named Job, God is asking you today, "where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?" Its a very simple question, yet so complex. And you can go ahead and answer. I was born in the 80s, I wasn't there when He seperated the sea from the land, when He placed the stars in the sky, when He told the ocean currents that they could only come thus far...and they obeyed...when He said loudly, "let there be LIGHT," and till this very day even 'light' obeyed His voice and has not disappeared...
These are the various questions He's asking us tonight (extracted from Job 38):
* Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
* Who determined its measurements?
* To what were its foundations fastened?
* Or who laid its cornerstone?
* Who shut in the sea with doors when it burst forth and issued from the womb?
* When I said, 'this far you may come, but no farther, and here your proud waves must stop.'
* Have you commanded the morning since your days began?
* Have you caused the dawn to know its place?
* Have you entered the springs of the sea?
* Or have you walked in search of the depths?
* Have the gates of death been revealed to you?
* Or have you seen the doors of the shadows of death?
* Where is the place of darkness?
* Have you entered the treasury of snow?
* Or have you seen the treasury of hail?
* By what way is light diffused?
* Or the east wind scattered over the earth?
I'm going to stop here right now because I am in AWE and amazement, and I'm still trying to comprehend something bigger than my own strength. Maybe I will never really understand the fullness. But it will surely keep me going. It will surely put my problems to rest, since I know I can't solve them on my own. To get a complete feel of the depth of questions...dig into the word. God just wanted him to know that the world was not merely an artifact...
...and it really isn't...
...but we are here to stay...
...and we are here to find the reason why we're staying...
...and find it we must...
...everyone repping club 400 must find their purpose...
...everyone on the team must DO their purpose...
...and we will...
...YES...we will...

word.
yea most of us are oblivious of GODS purpose for us and we delve into many other things and then dont get the results "we want". wel thanks for reminding us that he had formed us in our mothers womb and he knows our future from our past. it is my sincere prayer that GOD shows me his pupose for every new day.
job 38 is one of the most powerful scriptures that clearly tells us of God's sovereignity over the affairs of men.
no matter what we call success today, it has no significance in eternity if it cannnot be defined by God's purpose for our lives.
very inspiring post, got me thinking.

like a gospel singer put it "God is God, and I am Man"...the difference is obvious. thanks for dropping by.
I'm stuck in the second paragraph, VANITY
All is vanity
The pursuit of knowledge, wealth, fame everything is meaningless
and u r soo right cuz the only question then after u realize this life-altering fact is What is my purpose, what would God have mii do.
Thanks
We all have a purpose in life to fulfill...

I wrote a play titled "ladugba". This quote from the book of Job was the main thrust.
Everytime I read your blog, I am encouraged and inspired to continuing trusting in God's amazing grace.
I know by His grace I can do all things...and believe me when i say, it is not only you that stand in awe...I stand in awe and I can only say, "Why do you love us so much, Lord?"
I pray you have a wonderful weekend...
life ends when it ends... if we gathered good pictures we have a good album to stare at in the grave...
