Imagine a commander at your beck and call. Can you guys remember when you were little kids, and maybe while you walked across the street you saw a soldier fully clad in his uniform, but not just that...let your imaginations run wild just a little bit...
A soldier, tall and strong. Masculine face, well-built with a little smile plastered against lips that have seen the roughness of bad weather. Yet, the smile is a comforting reassuring smile, letting you know this well-clad man can take care of business. From his face, move down to his ironed green uniform, the well-defined structure of his uniform signifying "discipline" in the very sense of the word. Moving down to his shoes, never have you seen such beautiful shoes...the blackest of black, but with a glossy tint, shining because of the reflection of the sun against its blackness. But all these things and more is not what gets your attention. Your attention is in his chest and the numerous medals and awards flashing across his huge muscular chest. All of a sudden, you know this man has seen wars, but not only has he seen wars, he has fought in wars and he has come out fully victorious in the defense of his own...he was once known as 'the last man standing...' Immediately you see him, without an iota of doubt you suddenly feel PROTECTED...
Now imagine the story of a man who encountered the presence of the Commander in Chief of the army of heaven...God Himself...Jehovah Sabaoth (Lord of Hosts).
Joshua 5:13-15 "And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?" So He said, "No, but as Commander of the Army of the Lord I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "what does my Lord say to His servant?" Then the commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, "Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is Holy." And Joshua did so.
He visited Joshua at such a strategic point in his life, where Joshua had to lead his people into the promised land. A Commander is a military rank which is also sometimes used as a military title depending on the individual customs of a given military service. A commander is usually the Captain of a ship. A commander may command a frigate, destroyer, submarine, aviation squadron or shore installation. In the United States Army, the term "commander" is officially applied to the Commanding Officer of army units.

"...But as Commander of the army of the Lord I HAVE NOW COME..."
This means that whatever has been boggling you is ending with this knowledge, that your Commander-in Chief is here to demolish it. He calls and His angels answer. He speaks and demons flee. The mountains melt like wax at His presence. The red sea and the river Jordan divides into two when He instructs them to, and the proud waves of the oceans also stop their torment. This means that you need to trust that God knows exactly what He is doing as Commander-in-Chief. If you haven't received your victory yet, God is waiting for a PERFECT time. You may think that "now" is the perfect time, but God is the One who created you and He knows your perfect time for victory. If you trust in your Commander, then you must START to live like you HAVE already won!!! Let your life be filled with joy and happiness, faith and hope. Faith, which is believing that God has already won a war in which you haven't seen the victory yet. Live your life like you already have the trophy sitting down on top of your shelf, gleaming at you...your most prized collection yet...
***Live like a winner because Victory is already yours. The Commander-in-chief is here***
