**The Voice that Shattered the Cedars of Lebanon**

Psalm 29:4-5 "The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon..."

Ferocious:
When God speaks you hear the sound of...
The voice of thunder
The voice of many waters

The voice of many earthquakes

The voice that spoke and the red sea split

The voice that split the river Jordan into two separate entities

The voice that spoke and the storms became still

The voice that commands the four winds of the earth to blow...

Soft:
When God speaks you hear the sound of...

The voice of quiet waters
The voice of a still soft wind

The voice of a babe in the womb

The voice of leaves rustling in a burning bush

The voice of a hand writing on the wall
The voice of writings on a scroll
The voice of a dream in the still of the night...
The voice as of one walking in the garden of Eden in the evening...

Mighty:
When God speaks you hear the sound of...
The voice of the Mighty warrior in battle
The voice of the Commander-in-chief of the army of heaven

The voice of the One on a white horse with a secret name

The voice of the Prince of Peace

The voice of the King of Kings

The voice of the Lord of Lords

The voice of the Lord of all the hosts of heaven

The Voice of the God of Joshua and David, mighty warriors...

Powerful:
When God speaks you hear the sound of...
The Voice of One Who has all authority
The Voice of One who has all dominion

The Voice of One who has the power to create

The Voice of One who has the power to speak life

The Voice of One who commands the day

The Voice of One who said "Let there be light," and there was...

This voice is so multifaceted...sometimes soft, and sometimes strong
Sometimes gripping and sometimes liberating

Sometimes rugged and sometimes smooth

You can't really know until you experience all sides...

But you have to listen to hear His voice always
You have to listen to whatever side of His voice He presents to you
...sometimes soft and sometimes loud...

1 kings 19:11-13
"Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD.” And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

**The google picture on the top right is an example of a "cedar of Lebanon," it is known historically as a coniferous tree; found in the Mediterranean region (Lebanon). The cedar of Lebanon trees were used in historical times to build trade and military ships, as well as houses and temples. It also had sacred functions for Egyptians and Jews (wikipedia). As depicted in the picture, it is a huge tree, taller than most...but God's voice is recorded in psalms as having the capacity to split the cedars of Lebanon, no matter how strong.**

7 times they shall fall: the Juanita Bynum Case

Today, I present to you a very popular case of 'domestic abuse' that recently occurred in Atlanta earlier on this week.

This is the story of how Juanita Bynum, the well-renowned teleevangelist, was "choked, beaten, and stomped" (police statement) by her also well-renowned husband, and acknowledged BISHOP, Thomas Weeks III. I only just heard about it a few days ago, and I was very bewildered by the whole incident. But one thing I want to quickly point out here on my blog is that over the next few weeks, people are going to use this opportunity to speak against God & Christianity. I agree that this will seem like a perfect opportunity to debunk who God really is. It's only fair that a bishop should know he (of all people) should not beat his wife, esp after he must have PREACHED against it on several accounts.

One thing we all need to know though is that the devil is not joking...he doesn't have that much time left on his hands, so he is working real hard to cause havoc in the body of Christ. So while people are preaching, he is trying to destroy those words. In fact, he will make them go in the opposite direction from what they are talking about. If you were the devil and you were smart, you'd do the same thing. You've gotta try and win your battle, right? Well, now this whole thing forms a perfect picture of "the SUICIDE of the body of Christ." Think about that as a perfect tabloid. Then reading in-between the lines, you suddenly find out that someone actually murdered this person, but then rearranged the room setting to look like a suicide mission. Maybe I've been watching too much of PRISON BREAK....:)

Just trying to say that this is not a time to point fingers, but this is a time to pray harder and watch for yourselves. Jesus said in Matthew 24 that we should
"watch and pray, for you know not what hour the thief will come into your house." He was referring to the end times, we need to watch ourselves, our friends, and our families. We need to watch the little things in our characters that are disastrous. We need to watch out for catankerous things that we sometimes do to other people. We need to watch out for jealousy and strife. If you don't watch and pray while you still can, it may slowly creep in on you that there is really something occurring in the atmosphere, and the last day is fast approaching. Don't use this time to point fingers and criticize Bishop Thomas, but pray for him, and take a long look at yourself. Are you doing some wrong things in your life? Are there some not-so-good things you need to change in your life? Do you have God's love on the inside of you to love someone who hates you?

I read a blog just before I wrote mine, and some of the comments I saw were amazing:

Comment 1: "Thats why I do not go to church anymore," I pray this person comes to the important realization that he/she is not going to church to meet with imperfect men but a perfect God, who has no flaws. And I hope strongly that there is also the knowledge that 'in the presence of God there is liberty,' and 'in the presence of God there is fullness of JOY."

Comment 2: "Priests and ministers are the worst people, but they pretend on the outside." Sometimes it is true that they are the most pretentious of all people, but not all of them like that. Even when Jesus was here on earth, He already warned us by saying, "many will come in sheep's clothing but inside they are ravenous wolves." In the end-times, we will find a lot of false ministers. Big deal!!! The devil has targeted them to bring destruction to God's house. Don't be deceived, not all ministers will be good inside their hearts. On the last day, many will say to God, "Lord, Lord, didn't I do signs and wonders in Your name? Cast out demons in Your name?" And God will simply reply, "I know you not!" Because our God does not look at the outward appearances (e.g. a minister with a white robe), but He looks at what's on the inside.

Comment 3: "I can't believe a whole BISHOP will do that," surprise, surprise...a bishop is still a human being with flaws. If Thomas Weeks is a true child of God, then when He runs back into God's arms, God will still receive him (despite all the bad things being said about him right now), because God is LOVE. And the bible also says that, "seven times a righteous man may fall, but seven times he will get back UP again..." If he is repentant (just like many of us who have done HIDEOUS things in the past, pointing a finger at myself), God will receive him again, because that's just how our Father is. Forgiving.

Let's just pray for them...pray that there will be reconciliation. But most of all, pray that God's will be done in their lives, because that's the most important thing. Pray for the body of Christ to remain steadfast.

Pray for yourselves to be the LIGHT of the world, people that others can look up to and say, "yes I wanna be like that person...I want her God to be my God." Light your own lamp.

Thinking about some very crazy fishermen!!!!

Ever heard of Simon Peter, Andrew (his brother), and James Zebedee and John Zebedee (brothers)?????? Ok, seriously...these dudes have got to be kidding me. I think they were absolutely insane. Their story is in Matthew 4:18.

The first set of brothers (Simon and Andrew) were fishing on the sea of Galilee, when afar off they saw a man approaching them. First and foremost, I guess their parents did not tell them NOT to talk or listen to strangers. This man (Jesus) kept approaching them, and they didn't ask any questions. Then Jesus said, "Follow me, and I will make you FISHERS OF MEN." In this day and time, I would have thought Jesus was a cannibal (a person who eats human flesh), and I would have found my square root fast. But they saw something in Him that others did not see, and immediately they left their nets and followed Him. What did they see?

Now, that is a little bit understandable. But how about the next set of brothers (James Zebedee and John Zebedee)? Their own case was worse. These ones were sitting on a boat WITH THEIR FATHER (the big man Zebedee himself), and they were doing some hard work there ~ they were MENDING their nets. Apparently, somewhere down the river they realized their nets were broken and decided to come back ashore and repair them. Only for this man called Jesus to approach the three of them and all He had to do was beckon to them to come to Him (I'm thinking He must have shouted out their names), and guess what? These two dudes LEFT their father on the boat and started following Jesus. What Nigerian father would take that nonsense???? A naija father will chase you with the fishing net until he catches you and commands you to come back and do your work.

I think these people were crazy...but that's not where I'm going. These accounts remind me of Matthew 13: 44 where Jesus gave a parable about the 'kingdom of heaven,' saying, "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field..."

How many of us are ready to lose our minds over this treasure? Will you leave your father, mother and siblings just to focus on this treasure? How many of us can leave our jobs ("mending nets" or "fishing") to follow God? Sometimes, you don't have to physically leave your job, but even within your jobs you can focus on God. How many of us can stop fishing for money, but instead start fishing for souls? How many of us can really become crazy fishermen? How many of us will sell all that we have just to buy this treasure that we've found? It's a food for thought...I myself am thinking about these questions...

**There is something out there that is greater than any of us
...it's another kingdom...**

Be Clean!!!

This post is part of the friday series.
Today may you come to the knowledge that you can be FREE. You can be cleansed from everything that is holding you back, disease, sin, or even your own self. God is willing...
.
Sometimes you may wonder
Will I ever leave this place?

Will I ever be free from these chains?
Will I ever be released from this life that I live?

Will I ever get satisfaction and pleasure from this?

Will I ever see the sun rise again?

Sometimes you may ask yourself
Am I finished?

Am I a lost cause?

Am I a lost soul, never to be found?

Am I abandoned?

Am I in perpetual damnation already?

Sometimes you may look at yourself and ask
Can I ever be made whole?

Can these spots be removed from my skin?

Can my garments ever be made clean again?

Can I be released from my disease?

Can I ever be free from guilt and sin?

Can I ever be forgiven?

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes, you can.

Matthew 8:2-3 "And behold a leper came and worshipped [Jesus], saying, "Lord, if you are willing, You can make me clean." Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; BE CLEANSED." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed."

If this happened to a leper, who in his time was an outcast to the community, why can't it happen to you? Why can't you just let God's will apply to your life. His will has been stated, "I AM WILLING, BE CLEAN!" Listen to Him and give it up...

Give your disease up, and be clean.
Give your filthiness up, and be clean.

.
Give your hatred up, and be clean.
......Give your unhappiness up, and be clean.

Give your fornication up, and be clean.
Give your adultery up, and be clean.

Give your idolatry up, and be clean.
.Give your murders up, and be clean.

.....Give your drunkenness up, and be clean.

Really, God is not expecting too much from you other than to say, "Lord if You are willing, make me clean." If you take that move, then He will handle it from there....
that's all you need to do...

Consider the LILIES...

"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin.: "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these...therefore, do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." Matthew 6: 25-34.

Consider the lilies of the field, oh how beautiful...but you are even more precious than they are in the eyes of your Father...

In the last month, God allowed a door to be closed in my life for a reason. I only just found out this reason when He opened another one to me. He has given me the brilliant opportunity to re-focus my career options in the area of public health, and hence continue my career in medicine later on (so that I can have two post-graduate degrees). Yesterday, I got admitted to a very renowned graduate school of public health, just like that (in the twinkle of an eye)~ despite the tight deadline schedule. It has to have been God because I can't imagine anything I did to deserve this. That's just a personal story I decided to share publicly so that all can see that once we give our lives to the Master Potter, He can re-mold and re-shape us into the perfect vessel (better than we can ever dream of). Now I know not to be scared of "CHANGE," because according to the Potter's books, He can change the clay pot into a better vessel. Now, I see myself even bigger than I saw myself in the past ~ imagine cupping both a master's and doctorate degree in the nearest future...blows my mind away. I read a scripture yesterday that says, "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as Your Father in heaven is perfect," (Matthew 5:48). So if God is perfect, why shouldn't His sons and daughters attain their Father's perfection? At this point, if you've been the one designing your future according to your own human intellect, I pronounce to you a better way today, commit your future (goals, careers, family, relationships, e.t.c) into the hands of the Master Potter. Try Him and see if His plans will not be a billion times better than yours. He can make your future more beautiful than you could have ever planned it yourself...

Consider the lilies, how radiant! But you are more precious in value than they are in God's eyes. You are His son, and you are His daughter. The lilies are not His children, yet He makes them so beautiful and radiant each morning. The lilies or the birds are not His young princes or princesses, yet He calls you His royal priesthood. Did God give any lily a signet ring to wear on its finger? No, but God declared in Haggai 2:23 that He will make you like a signet ring (a sign of kingly authority). He gave you dominion over all other creatures on the earth ~ the top of the food chain. So you must surely be more important than birds and lilies...He has you in mind...He knows and He sees all things...

And yet, we can learn from them...they look so content, joyful, drenched with dew, and beautifully radiant, and they definitely don't worry. They seem to have a better understanding that God has got their backs...

The Many Faces of your spirit:

She is boisterous, cheerful, and charming sometimes, waking up always with a loud shout, "this is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." And she does feel that way every morning. She feels like the day will definitely be blessed, and certainly nothing can come her way that she wouldn't be able to handle. She makes breakfast, she dresses up and heads out to work. She smiles at her co-workers, wow...such a beautiful smile. She even brings smiles to the lips of people, and they appreciate her for that. It is not until work is over and she drives back home, and while driving she talks on the phone to a close friend who tells her she did something wrong that everything changes.

"What do you mean I did something wrong?"

"Because you did, concerning what happened the other day, you acted nonchalantly."

"I can't believe after so many years of friendship you can even open your mouth to say that about me. It means you don't know me. You don't even know who I am. I can't believe this. You really believe that I would do that? I'm your friend, why would you think I would do that to you?" she retorted sharply because she was so shocked that her friend of 10 years could say that about her.

"Well, that's what I noticed. I'm just speaking from my heart. I'm trying to let you know that I didn't appreciate that."

She begins to shout, "What rubbish. Please, I'm not going to waste time talking about this nonsense. I'll talk to u later." She snaps the cell phone shut, boiling in anger.

When she gets home, she is still boiling in anger, and the movie she had borrowed from blockbuster becomes such a wasted effort. She would just eat and go to bed now. Someone just spoilt her day. This was supposed to be the sweet sweet day that the Lord had made...what happened?

Does this conversation sound familiar? Have you ever been in such situations? Where you felt the need to shout back in anger at a friend? And at the end of the day does shouting back really help the situation at all? This conversation was very familiar to me recently. I am making sure my sentence is 'past tense' because God has rescued me from wasted efforts of unnecessary outbursts of wrath (anger), and He taught me exactly what to do in times like this when I read the following scripture:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven," Matthew 5:3

I was confused when I read that, I never wanted to be poor in anything. Infact the Bible tells me that God is the One who maketh rich and addeth no sorrow. So why should I be poor? I don't believe in being poor, there are so many blessings that are my portion straight from the word of God Himself. So there must be something I am not understanding. "Poor in spirit????" At this point, I had to ask the Holy Spirit (remember He is our school teacher) to come and help me solve this mathematical problem, otherwise known as a puzzle.

What does it mean to be 'poor in spirit?' Why should the 'poor in spirit' inherit the kingdom of heaven. Why shouldn't the 'rich in spirit' be the ones to inherit it? Then miraculously, I began to get the break down...

Spirit: [from L. Spiritus: "courage, vigor, breath"] The spirit is defined as "the vital principle or animating force within living things; an attitude that inspires, animates, or pervades our thoughts, feelings, or actions; the part of the human mind associated with the mind, will, and feelings; an emotional state characterized by vigor (energy)."

Therefore, your spirit is what defines you. Your spirit controls your physical attributes. It controls your movements, your will, your mind, and your emotions. It controls your vigor, or in other words the energy that keeps you going from one activity to the next. Your spirit is vital. So now, why should we be poor in 'spirit?' You would think it would be reverse because even the bible says that "the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and only the violent shall take it by force." The violent must be energetic right? Their spirit must be invigorating right? So I investigated what it really meant to be "poor" in something.

Poor: Lacking in value or quantity; deficient or lacking in something specified; humble, modest.

Immediately I studied those definitions, I was totally amazed at my new knowledge of what it means to be "poor in spirit." It simply means "not placing any value or quantity on things like your 'thoughts, feelings, actions, influence, sentiments, emotions, mind, will, and vigor,' but instead surrendering all those things to God and placing God as priority." Being poor in spirit does not mean you won't have the vital thing that keeps you alive ~ your energy, thoughts, mind, and emotions. It doesn't mean that you should be less violent while taking the kingdom of heaven by force. It simply means that you won't value those things so much that your life depended on them. It's like selling a Limousine or Lamborghini for just $1.00. You can show your emotions, but don't place such high value on them. You can show your strength to others, but don't place such a high value on it. Don't take yurself too seriously. The life that you live is no longer yours, but you are dead to your flesh but alive in Christ. Don't get mad, get glad!

This is not saying your emotions are worth nothing. No, instead it is saying that nothing should ever bother you so much for you to consult your emotions and ask if everything is alright. There is only One we must consult at all times ~ God! When we begin to see that God is our priority, and other things are only secondary to God. Then it is easy to have self-control (which is listed under the 'fruit' of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5, as one of the things we must possess). Self-control is what says, "hey, let me restrain myself, this is not more important than God." Self-control causes us to be "swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath," (James 1:19). If you do not place any value on your spirit (what controls your emotions), but place all the value on God's Spirit living in you, then you will inherit the kingdom of heaven. That's what it means to be "poor in spirit..." The poor in spirit will inherit the kingdom because they are kingdom focused, they will sell all they have just to buy the kingdom...

And if the SALT loses its TASTE...

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men." Matthew 5:13

SALT has a very powerful potential. In the scripture above, God has purposefully used the word "salt" to describe our potentials in the world. The potential of salt is highly qualified:

* It preserves (as a preservative)
* It penetrates
(as a seasoning)
* It produces tastefulness
(as a seasoning)
*
Salt is involved in regulating the water content (fluid balance) of the body (wikipedia)

In other words, salt influences or impacts the medium in which it is placed. Therefore, if Jesus said, "you are the SALT of the earth," what do you think He meant? Did you think He was joking? Did you think He basically just felt like playing around with the word 'salt,' yeah maybe He was playing scrabble? Do you think He was hungry, or maybe He recently ate some food with no salt in it?

No, no, and no! He meant that YOU (yes, YOU!) and I have a SAY here on earth. You have the potential to have a positive effect on food (people). You have the potential to be an influence to somebody's life. You have the potential to regulate the fluid balance in the body (a.k.a "body of Christ"). You have the potential to make an impact in the world. You have the potential to be a role model. You have the power to be somebody's mentor. You can make a difference if you so choose. You can say "YES" and others will listen, or "NO" and others will listen also. You can show the way to life. Your life can be the bible others can study. But you can't be less than salt, and you can't be excessively salty...because if you lose your taste, then you are only good to be thrown outside and trampled by men. If you lose your saltiness, then you have no worth and your life is merely a waste. I pray that your potential to be SALT is restored to you as you read this. You must be a positive influence on someone, and not just merely a recluse. Wikipedia even helps in illustrating this concept more, and I quote "
The apostle Paul also encouraged Christians to "let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt" (Colossians 4:6) so that when others enquire about your beliefs, your answer should generate a 'thirst' to know more about Christ." Further research showed me that when the blood cells in the body become "salty," this generates THIRST, and therefore we have to drink water to balance the salt-water concentration of the body. Our urine outflow is also limited so that more water is conserved in the body. Therefore, if we are the 'salt' of the world, we must be able to generate that thirst for God in others, and also we must be able to conserve the living water of God here on earth. Hmm...deep!

***Be the SALT of the earth because you have the potential...***

**The School Teacher and The Will**

"The school teacher is that woman who comes into the classroom and everyone keeps silent. She beckons for an answer and her students raise up their hands. She gives a question and also the solution, so that her students may have an example with which to use as a platform for their class assignments and homework. She gives the instructions for an exercise, and then tells you how to do it...but have you ever wondered why her functions never stopped there? She also calls you to attention when you do something wrong, she is a disciplinarian in every sense, giving you punishments if she must exercise her power, hoping you'd learn a lesson or two from them. When she sees you are on the path towards making a mistake in your school work (and sometimes even in your personal life) she calls you to her office and tells you to sit down, giving you the discussion of a lifetime...she is a teacher..."

John 14:26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you..."

Today, I had a revelation concerning my school teacher, the Holy Spirit. God taught me about what the Holy Spirit meant to me. He is my school teacher for LIFE. He teaches me ALL THINGS. When I was 1, He taught me how to walk. About that age as well, He also taught me how to talk. From an early time, He taught me the differences between good and evil. When I became mature, He taught me why I had to give my life to God. He taught me how to interact with friends. He taught me how to come out of unnecessary relationships, and He taught me how to walk towards my destiny in relationships birthed by God only. He is still teaching me today how to walk in this journey called "life."

Before this new revelation, I thought the Holy Spirit's function was just to make me memorize scriptures and pour them all out. But today I am being taught about my school teacher once again. Yes He helps me learn new scriptures, but His functions do not stop there. The bible says He teaches me ALL THINGS...an ALL-INCLUSIVE phenomenon. Every tool I need to succeed in life can be taught to me by the Holy Spirit, but I just have to come to the realization that He is my teacher. He can tell me every step to take, the right words to speak at the right time, the right relationships to build and also the ones to cut off and throw in a thrash bag. He can teach me those things that are good for my health and those that are bad for my health. He can basically teach me anything I need to know.

One important thing is that He is the One that brings the word of God into my remembrance. So today, He brought a new word to me (and He taught me the meaning of that word). I had never read this scripture in the way the Teacher taught me today. He began to teach me the scripture in which Jesus said these words, "For whoever does the WILL of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." (Matthew 12:50). I asked myself if I was Jesus' sibling. I only qualify to be His sibling if I do the will of God. But then I asked myself, "what exactly is this will?"

The Teacher took me to the book of Revelation (Rev 11:17) that says that 'the rest of the offspring of the woman are those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.' Therefore, the will of God is actually the commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus. I checked the definition of a "will," and it says in the dictionary that a will is a "wish, desire, purpose to be carried out, and legally it is a disposition towards another person that is written and signed by a testator (someone who writes a will before dying) and attested by witnesses." If you are seeing what I'm seeing, then your mind will be blown out of proportion. Everything in the word of God was written by God Himself (as the testator), and all the witnesses who compiled these things into a book were only just attesting to these things (affirming that these things were correct, genuine, and true)...because God inspired them and showed them mighty things in secret places, hence they became witnesses to His word...

I have now asked my school teacher to help me understand this will, and to help me walk in it...

***Will you invite the School Teacher to teach you God's will today?***

p.s: Also read about the Commander-in-chief below...

***The Commander-in-Chief is HERE***

Imagine a commander at your beck and call. Can you guys remember when you were little kids, and maybe while you walked across the street you saw a soldier fully clad in his uniform, but not just that...let your imaginations run wild just a little bit...

A soldier, tall and strong. Masculine face, well-built with a little smile plastered against lips that have seen the roughness of bad weather. Yet, the smile is a comforting reassuring smile, letting you know this well-clad man can take care of business. From his face, move down to his ironed green uniform, the well-defined structure of his uniform signifying "discipline" in the very sense of the word. Moving down to his shoes, never have you seen such beautiful shoes...the blackest of black, but with a glossy tint, shining because of the reflection of the sun against its blackness. But all these things and more is not what gets your attention. Your attention is in his chest and the numerous medals and awards flashing across his huge muscular chest. All of a sudden, you know this man has seen wars, but not only has he seen wars, he has fought in wars and he has come out fully victorious in the defense of his own...he was once known as 'the last man standing...' Immediately you see him, without an iota of doubt you suddenly feel PROTECTED...

Now imagine the story of a man who encountered the presence of the Commander in Chief of the army of heaven...God Himself...Jehovah Sabaoth (Lord of Hosts).

Joshua 5:13-15 "And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?" So He said, "No, but as Commander of the Army of the Lord I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "what does my Lord say to His servant?" Then the commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, "Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is Holy." And Joshua did so.

He visited Joshua at such a strategic point in his life, where Joshua had to lead his people into the promised land. A Commander is a military rank which is also sometimes used as a military title depending on the individual customs of a given military service. A commander is usually the Captain of a ship. A commander may command a frigate, destroyer, submarine, aviation squadron or shore installation. In the United States Army, the term "commander" is officially applied to the Commanding Officer of army units.

I believe the encounter Joshua had was with Jesus, and Jesus is God Himself, and so just imagine if God is the Commander-in-chief of a host of angels who constantly fight your battles for you everyday. At this point you should be jumping and rejoicing, because my God never looses a fight. He is ALWAYS victorious. He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End...the Uncreated Creator. He was before TIME itself, and He created the word "beginning" so that it could fit in the constraints of the word "time." God is saying to you right now through this medium, the same words that He spoke long ago to Joshua...

"...But as Commander of the army of the Lord I HAVE NOW COME..."

This means that whatever has been boggling you is ending with this knowledge, that your Commander-in Chief is here to demolish it. He calls and His angels answer. He speaks and demons flee. The mountains melt like wax at His presence. The red sea and the river Jordan divides into two when He instructs them to, and the proud waves of the oceans also stop their torment. This means that you need to trust that God knows exactly what He is doing as Commander-in-Chief. If you haven't received your victory yet, God is waiting for a PERFECT time. You may think that "now" is the perfect time, but God is the One who created you and He knows your perfect time for victory. If you trust in your Commander, then you must START to live like you HAVE already won!!! Let your life be filled with joy and happiness, faith and hope. Faith, which is believing that God has already won a war in which you haven't seen the victory yet. Live your life like you already have the trophy sitting down on top of your shelf, gleaming at you...your most prized collection yet...

***Live like a winner because Victory is already yours. The Commander-in-chief is here***
