**Sweet Nothings**

Yesterday it was raining so hard early in the morning. I threw the white big door open and plunged into the misty rain. I half jogged and half walked to the bus stop, waited for a few minutes and saw the bus approaching. I hopped on. Silence. Time passed a little. Then a loud noise. The sounds of the trains approaching. I hopped off the bus and got on the subway. I was reflecting on how good I felt going to work, I had been searching for something like this, but alas my search was over! A shouting testimony! And this was only just the beginning. One day I will be telling the full story to the Nations...from a roof-top.

So back to the train. I opened my book and started flipping pages. In some quick seconds, my eyes began to twitch and flutter. Out of the corner of my left eye I saw them. They were standing with their bodies leaning against each other. And he was whispering what I call romantic "sweet nothings" into her ears. Sweet, sweet, nothings. But she was blushing so those words must really have been sweet. Lol.

He was the lover and she was his beloved. As usual, my mind flipped for a second towards my Lover. My Knight in shining armor, who is also incidentally the Uncreated Creator. I began to distinguish his love. You see, human beings can whisper lots of words, especially in the excitement of the moment. But God is not like that. Every word He speaks MUST surely be true and must come to pass. He has declared His love for us in so many ways. Only this time, they weren't sweet nothings...they were just really sweet! He's been known to say words like, "Behold I will allure [you], bring you into the wilderness, and comfort you (Hosea 2:14)." He also calls you the "apple of His eye," (Zechariah 2:8); He calls you "His bride" while He refers to Himself as "the Bridegroom." (Rev 19:6-8).

The lips of men are sometimes filled with romantic and beautiful sweet nothings, but God offers so much more. He told the woman at the well, "When you taste my water, you will never thirst again." Sometimes our physical bodies ache for the love of another human being. But as far as we remain human, we will always thirst for something more. Our bodies cannot be completely satisfied by the love of another human being. Yes, our other halves may mean what they're saying. But because of their flesh they will get weak sometimes in fulfilling those words. So what can bring pure satisfaction? Look towards the hills...

...For the LOVE of God can never fail...

EfJay...lollllllll. He (my boo) also tells me really sweet things...does that count? :)

LG...enuff efizzyyy!!! I'm loaded with school work at the moment. And exams. And work. It is well...lol. How na?

This was very refreshing.... u know, u can really trust God. we can literally stake our lives on His love and be rest assured that He will not fail unlike man ....

ok, one question. how did u become so grounded spiritually at such a young age. at 23, i dont know what i was thinking. But i tell u, it wasnt the Bible. lol..

seriously, i admire ur deep wisdom in God.

but just to satisfy my curiousity, tell me something bad, terrible u do/did/want to do/said! SUMTHING. hehehe

uNWrItten* said...

wow i was like JAYCEE found someone yay!
lol
i feel u tho..men are usually full of empty promises but GOD keeps all promises...:)

HUGS!
P.S I LOVE THE SONG ON HERE...!

Jem...Yes oooo...

Darkelcee...Yessss...He loves us too much for that! If he forced us to do anything, we would only be like a bunch of robots...

Abbie...u're welcome dearie...

Olamild...right back at you girlie!!!! How body dey naw?

Simi Speaks...I'm laughing soooo hardddd!!! Lolll. 23 is not as young as u make it seem, well...maybe "relatively." I think I heard the knock a lot of times, and I finally opened it. I've done some "bad" things too in my life now, like everyone else...lolll...I know u don't want to open my behind on blogger! But I prayed for forgiveness, and I've been received back as a prodigal child...never again! If you email me with a specific question, I can reveal my personal testimonies to you. I believe God allowed some trials to come my way so I can testify about them while shouting on a roof-top...:) Still wanna hear somn bad I've done before???

Unwritten...I found my other half last yr...lolllll!!!! But both of us are still human, and though our words are sweet to each other, they really can't compare to God's words to us. They are sweet nothings but God's words are "sweet everythings" *wink*

Jennifer A. said...

I'm still laughing hard at ur statement Simi...LOLLLLLL!!!!! U succeeded in cracking me up real bad!!! ROTFL!!!! My life is filled with crazy testimonies that will blow your mind sha..."saved by grace!"

3 MEN GO INTO A HOTEL.

THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SAID THE ROOM IS $30

SO EACH MAN PAID $10 AND WENT TO THE ROOM.

A WHILE LATER THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK REALIZED THE ROOM WAS ONLY $25

SO HE SENT THE BELLBOY TO THE 3 GUYS' ROOM WITH $5.

ON THE WAY THE BELLBOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPLIT $5 EVENLY BETWEEN 3
MEN,

SO HE GAVE EACH MAN A $1 AND KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR HIMSELF.

THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM, WHICH IS A TOTAL OF $27

ADD THE $2 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = $29.

WHERE IS THE OTHER DOLLAR?

ok. my heart has resumed it's regular beat. for a moment, i thought Jaycee was writing about erm....'secular' love

@ anonymous - that got me stumped for a minute, but the men paid $28, not the $27 mention ($25 + $3 returned to them), so $1 is NOT missing

Jennifer A. said...

Lolll...anonymous...Lai lai...I know this one...

The $27 is the total of $25 (which is with the guy behind the desk) and $2 with the bellboy.

The additional $3 is with the individual men in the hotel room.

There you go! (But that was quite random though, anonymous...lolllll). Thanks for the quiz!

Jennifer A. said...

Simi...I won't show u...*sticks tongue out*

Omosewa...7 people beat me to the chase...arrrrghh! It is well!

Jinta...don't let ur heart stop beating o....my priority is God. Lol...all other things come after that!! How's ur weekend...i forgot to ask u for my own present!

True. God's love never fails. It's the only love that's 100%unconditional.

God whispers sweet "Yea and so be it".

Jaycee **Wink**

Anonymous, can't add 2 to 27 it's like adding 4 to 25 that's why u got 29, Instead subtract two from 27 to get 25...amount paid for the room.

The men paid $9 dollars each => $27
Where did all the money go?
Room is $25, Bell boy has $2, men have $3 => $30

i love that u love the Lord. Thanks for an uplifting message. We tend to forget how deep and true that love is sometimes. We often trample on that love...but thank God for his mercies! His mercies endure for ever.

"It was not in2 my ear u whispered but into my heart. It was not my lips u kissed but my soul".

Love that.

May times God whispers his words of love n comfort in2 our ears n it goes straight into our hearts.

i love how you started with the image of lovers on a train. it was beautiful, but not nearly as beautiful as the love God extended to us (Christ) even when we were not receptive of it (as sinners). Lovely

God loves us unconditionally, eternally, we dont have to pay anyhting for HIS love and best of all nothing can separate us from HIS love..

we do wrong, cause his heart to bleed and yet he brings us back, forgives us and takes us back in..
the love still remains untainted!

Wow!,
if only humans could love like dat..thw world would be so differnt
